HLS Cannulae are used to access
appropriate blood vessels

The new specially developed HLS Cannulae can be inserted percutaneously or with a surgical cut-down.

Vessels need to be accessed in order to link the CARDIOHELP System to the patient for cardiac and/or respiratory support. The new specially developed HLS Cannulae can be inserted percutaneously. Arterial and venous cannulae are available in several outside diameters (from 15 to 29 Fr.) and lengths (from 15 to 55 cm) allowing individual selection for peripheral cannulation to be made based on the patient’s need for up to 6 hours.

HLS Cannulae offer the following features:

  • Optimized transition between introducer and cannula tip
  • Reinforced with a flat wire for lowest wall thickness and highest flow rates
  • Locked introducer to keep introducer in place during insertion
  • Hardened proximal cannula body to prevent kinking
  • Unique depth marks to control insertion depth
  • Cannula bodies are made of biocompatible polyurethane
  • BIOLINE Coating
