The CARDIOHELP System:
Extracorporeal Support Solution

Cardiovascular disorders (CVD) are the number one cause of death globally. An estimated 17.5 million people die annually from CVD, representing 30 % of all global deaths (Source: World Health Organization). Many of these people experience cardiogenic shock because vital organs are not adequately supplied with oxygen. If patients could be connected quickly to a mechanical circulatory support system, such as the CARDIOHELP System, clinicians would gain valuable time.
The CARDIOHELP System, including the HLS Advanced tubing set, is the world's smallest portable heart-lung support system. The portable system provides extracorporeal support to replace or support the patient’s circulation and respiration. This is called cardiopulmonary support.
The CARDIOHELP System is light enough to be carried by one person and compact enough to be transported in a helicopter or vehicle. With its disposables, its integrated sensors and its software versions, the CARDIOHELP System opens up new possibilities for patients who require veno-venous support or veno-arterial support and the use of a minimal extracorporeal circulation (MECC) (up to six hours). The intuitive control unit and the plug-and-play principle enables fast initiation and handling, even in emergency situations.
